So Tarot stores the information needed to run your account, generate readings, save reflections, process billing, and keep the service reliable.
Account data may include your email address, profile preferences, onboarding answers, subscription status, and saved settings.
Reading data may include your question, selected cards, generated interpretation, saved history, anonymous session identifier, and journal entries you choose to create.
Billing is handled through Stripe. So Tarot does not store full payment card numbers. Email and product messages may be sent through configured transactional email providers.
During the private beta, first-party and optional analytics identify funnel steps, later-day returns, device class, broad reading category, spread, card count, reliability, and feedback ratings. Analytics never receives your full tarot question, generated reading prose, journal writing, feedback text, payment details, or email address.
Optional PostHog and Google Analytics scripts load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” Session recording is disabled. Necessary account, security, billing, and server reliability records do not depend on that choice.
Anonymous beta activity uses a random first-party identifier. It is associated with an opaque account identifier only when you create an account on that browser after an anonymous reading; it is not reused to merge unrelated accounts on shared devices.
To request account deletion, analytics deletion, or data assistance, contact beta support from the email associated with your account. Deletion may be limited where retention is required for security, billing, or legal obligations.
